However using the adjustable hosel on the RBZ driver we were able to take some loft off to reduce the height, although this did change the lie angle of the club, but that was OK. On the course the RocketBallz Driver felt and sounded very good and the ball flight was a little on the high side. The lie is also down a degree and a half and combined with the shorter shaft length you feel much more comofrtable over the ball. It also means less weight and the combination of a light head, shaft and grip makes this is a light club at under 300 grams. Thankfully TaylorMade have reduced the length of the shaft by half an inch to 46 inches so even though it feels long, it is much more manageable and that will mean more accuracy. At address it has a more rounded head and it sits behind the ball very nicely and the white head/black face colour scheme makes it very easy to align. So go and give them a go.The TaylorMade RBZ RocketBallz Driver succeeds the Burner Superfast 2.0 driver and the standard version is a lot better. Anyone who hasnвЂ™t tried this club, try it! In fact, I think TaylorMade might be bringing out the RBZ2 pretty soon. I love it! The forgiveness in the club is huge so even on those off centre strikes IвЂ™m still getting some good distance.

DonвЂ™t get me wrong though, IвЂ™m no pro so my consistency isnвЂ™t quite there yet but thats got absolutely nothing to do with the club. Some highlights have been a drive over the green on a 290 yard up hill par 4, I also drove the green on a 305 yard par 4 (although I 3 putted for par, standard SG). In fact I think it may be getting even better. Those 4 rounds and 10 range sessions are now up and IвЂ™m happy to tell you all its as good as when I first took it out.

I wanted to get home and write the review straight away, but once IвЂ™d calmed down I realised that it must of been a fluke! I wanted to give it a good 4/5 rounds and a few range sessions before coming to any final conclusions. The rest of the round was exactly the same, even off the deck I found it very easy to get the ball up in the air and the distance was huge. However when I got to my ball in the middle of the fairway (which certainly didnвЂ™t happen with my driver) I worked out the distances and IвЂ™d crashed it 280 yards! I honestly couldnвЂ™t believe it. The launch was driver-like but when I was stood on the tee admiring the shot it looked like it hadnвЂ™t travelled as far as IвЂ™d been expecting as it seemed to go a lot higher. The вЂSpeed PocketвЂ™ really did give the face a trampoline affect and the ball absolutely flew off the face. This club was definitely made for golfers like me. It wasnвЂ™t! My first strike was one of the best IвЂ™d ever hit. The face is quite a bit deeper than the other 3-woods I was looking at, which is said to make it a little more forgiving and the little gadget in the base of the club, the вЂSpeed PocketвЂ™ makes the club look like its been made for some serious distance. The contrast between the white crown and dark grey face definitely helped with alignment. The white crown with green and grey detail looked awesome at address and I was filled with confidence when stood over the ball. I had my new club in the bag ready and raring to go. The last few times IвЂ™ve been teeing it up with my 3-iron as I had no confidence with my driver, but that day it was a different story. So my first hit with this beast was on the 3rd hole par 5, 545yds, out of bounds left and right. I know this wasnвЂ™t ideal and it definitely wasnвЂ™t planned but I bought it off the shelf and took it straight onto the course as I was so desperate to get rid of my driver (the pro shop had it on offer!). My research found the TaylorMade RBZ was exactly what I was afterвЂ¦ So with this in mind I went back and did my homework on the best вЂreplacement driverвЂ™ 3-wood. Apparently a 3-wood should be easier to control off the tee and it obviously gives you another option off the deck on those long par 5вЂ™s. I had a chat with my coach and he said look at getting a good 3-wood. So with my frustration growing with every tee shot, I decided enough was enough.

I canвЂ™t actually remember the last time I hit it off the tee and it felt ok.
